Monica Legatt studied East Asian philosophy and religious traditions as an undergraduate at The University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington where she initially learned about Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture.  After graduation, Monica aquired a Masters Degree in Arts of Teaching from UPS  before then moving on to The Northwest Institute of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine where she received her Masters Degree in Acupuncture.

Monica began her Traditional Chinese Medicine practice in 1997, and is currently in practice at her clinic Dowtown Seattle Acupuncture & Massage.

Monica maintains her current standing as a National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine diplomate.  Passage of the NCCAOM national board exam is required by  Washington state’s Department of Health to obtain a license to practice acupuncture and East Asian Medicine.
